Find Robertson County Released Inmates

Robertson County released inmates may leave the live jail roster soon after the Sheriff’s Office records their departure. A Robertson County released inmate search therefore starts with the short-term release view, then moves to the booking record, court file, or the agency that received the person. Robertson County released inmates can include people returning to the community as well as people transferred into state, federal, immigration, or another county’s custody. The correct source depends on that path. To search for Robertson County released inmates with care, match identifiers and confirm the result with the office that owns the record.

Understanding Robertson County Releases

“Released” first means that the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center no longer holds a person under a particular booking. It does not always mean the person is free from all custody or that the criminal case has ended. A departure may be a community release after bond, dismissal, time served, or another court order. It may instead be a transfer to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, another county, the United States Marshals Service, or immigration custody. The sheriff’s release timestamp proves a departure from the county jail, while the booking sheet, court order, and receiving agency explain what followed.

The distinction changes where Robertson County released inmates can be found. A recent county departure may appear in the Sheriff’s Office rolling release display. A transfer to TDCJ should appear later in the state’s current-inmate system. A person released on parole remains under TDCJ Parole Division supervision, while probation, called community supervision in Texas, is tied to the sentencing court and local probation department. A full discharge means the sentence and its supervision have ended. No single roster covers all of these outcomes.

Bond release
Release before final disposition under conditions set by a court; the case normally remains pending.
Time served
A sentence satisfied in whole or part by credited time already spent in custody.
Parole
Conditional release from state prison for the remainder of a sentence under supervision.
Discharge
Completion of incarceration and any supervision attached to that sentence.

Robertson County Release Paths

The county feed does not label a release reason. A displayed bond amount does not prove that bond caused the departure, and a zero amount does not prove dismissal or time served. Read the exact release time as evidence that county custody ended, then use the release sheet and the court file to determine the legal basis.

PathMeaningBest next source

Time servedLocal confinement ends after credited or ordered time.Judgment and release sheet

Transfer deserves special care. The Robertson County card can call the county event a release even when the person moves directly into another secure system. Until the next custodian is confirmed, the accurate phrase is “released from Robertson County custody.”

Robertson County Release Record Fields

The live card and detailed booking profile form a useful short-term record, but neither is a certified release sheet. Match several fields before treating a card as the correct person. Dynamic entries can change, and the sheriff warns that web information may not be current enough for final verification.

FieldWhat it establishes
Name and photographIdentity clues that still require identifier matching
Booking number and timeThe specific county custody episode
Inmate ID and VINE IDLocal identifiers for cross-checking
Exact release timeWhen the jail recorded departure
Charge and bondBooking allegations and bond data, not guilt or release cause
Arresting agencyThe arrest source, which may differ from the custodian

A targeted sheriff record can add the release disposition or type, a transfer destination when releasable, and a code legend. The court file answers a different question. Its bond order, dismissal, judgment, sentence, commitment, probation order, or discharge order explains the case event behind the custody change.

Identifiers belong to different systems. The sheriff’s booking number marks one county custody episode, while the inmate or commissary ID is used within the local jail system. A VINE ID supports matching within the notification process. None should be substituted for a TDCJ number, state SID, federal register number, or ICE A-number. Record the exact identifier label as well as its value. This avoids joining unrelated records that happen to share a name.

The sheriff currently publishes a booking photograph with many current and recently released entries, but that short-term publication does not guarantee access to every historical image. A photograph documents appearance at booking, not guilt, case outcome, or present custody. A request for an older photo remains subject to the custodian’s review of the Public Information Act, court orders, expunction, juvenile rules, privacy limits, and other applicable law.

Request Robertson County Release Records

After an entry leaves the 48-hour display, request the agency-created record from the RCSO Records Division. The sheriff only supplies records its office created. Narrow wording helps staff identify the correct booking and separates a release record from a broad request for every document connected to a name.

  1. Gather the full name, booking number, booking date, and case number when known.
  2. Ask for the booking and release sheet, recorded release date and time, disposition or type, transfer destination if public, and releasable booking photograph.
  3. Submit the official form by email, mail, fax, or the channel shown by the Records Division. Put “Records Division” in the email subject.
  4. Wait for the office’s cost notice. Cost is set after review and payment comes before mailing.
  5. Compare the result with the clerk’s court documents when the reason for release matters.

The form says releasable information will be produced within ten business days unless an exception applies, but Texas law uses a prompt-production standard. Ten business days is an important notice or ruling deadline in several situations, not a universal promise of delivery. The office may seek County Attorney review, redact protected data, or ask the Attorney General whether an exception applies.

Robertson County does not post one fixed copy or photo price on the form. Reproduction cost is calculated after the office identifies responsive records. Request electronic copies when practical and state a cost ceiling that should trigger an estimate before work continues. Payment precedes mailing under the form’s instructions. A broad request can delay identification and may be rejected if it asks the sheriff to supply records the office did not create.

For a useful response, distinguish the requested event from the whole criminal case. The sheriff can address its booking and release documents. The County Clerk, District Clerk, or justice court holds its own docket and orders. TDCJ holds later state incarceration and discharge material. Sending the same broad request to every office is less effective than naming the exact existing record held by each custodian.

Texas Rules for Robertson Release Records

Texas Government Code Chapter 552, the Public Information Act, governs access to existing government records and the exceptions that protect some information. It does not require an agency to create a new answer. Medical, juvenile, biometric, sealed, expunged, and other protected material may be withheld or redacted. The 48-hour web window is only a display period, not a statement that the underlying record is destroyed after two days.

Expunction under Code of Criminal Procedure Chapter 55A depends on detailed eligibility rules and a final order. Release alone does not erase an arrest. Nondisclosure is a separate remedy with exceptions. If a lawful search no longer returns a once-visible record, access limits or portal coverage may be the reason, but absence cannot identify which one.

Government Code section 552.108 can apply to law-enforcement information in an active investigation or prosecution, while basic information may receive different treatment. The agency must decide which exception, redaction, or confidentiality rule applies. A requester should not assume that a visible web card makes every connected file public, or that removal from the web means the underlying booking and release sheet has been destroyed.

Record boundary: the jail release sheet proves what the custodian recorded; the court file proves the case disposition.

Find a Robertson County Release

Begin with the custody system that most recently held the person. For most local arrests, that is the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center. Work outward only when a booking record, court file, detainer, or agency statement points to another custodian. This prevents a county departure from being mistaken for a community release.

  1. Search the sheriff’s rolling 48-hour released filter. Match the booking number, booking time, age, charge, photograph, VINE ID, and exact release time.
  2. Check the current county roster. Presence there means the booking is still displayed as confined. Absence from both lists is inconclusive.
  3. Call the jail at 979-828-3299. Ask whether that booking left Robertson County custody and whether the departure was a community release or transfer.
  4. Review the correct court case. The bond order, dismissal, judgment, sentence, commitment, or probation order can explain the legal event.
  5. If the record points to state prison, search TDCJ. If it points to federal or immigration custody, use that specific federal system.
  6. For an older event, request the sheriff’s booking and release sheet because the web card will have expired.

A released person normally drops off the current jail roster. The released filter gives short-term affirmative evidence, while simple absence proves neither release nor freedom from another agency.

Finding Robertson County’s Release Filter

The sheriff’s main Jail Roster landing page advertises current inmates, but the next disclaimer screen reveals a separate “48 Hour Release” choice. That extra navigation layer makes the direct released filter useful. The disclaimer still matters: Robertson County says the online data are provided for convenience, may not be accurate or current, and cannot be certified for authenticity. Opening the filter directly should never remove that warning from the lookup process.

Robertson County 48-Hour Lookup

The list is a rolling 48-hour display, sorted newest release first by default, with name search and alternate order. It is not an official on-demand 24-hour page. A reader can compare exact release timestamps to identify the preceding 24 hours, while the sheriff’s separate email signup offers a prospective daily or as-needed digest of bookings and releases from the preceding 24 hours. There is no official 72-hour web view. A three-day check requires the two-day display plus a Records Division request for the missing interval.

The sheriff’s captured view illustrates the distinction between Current Inmates and 48 Hour Release. The official disclaimer and chooser should be read with the filter.

Exact minute-level timestamps do not prove a real-time upload schedule. For a time-sensitive question, call the jail and preserve the lookup time.

Which Robertson County Court Record?

Court routing in Robertson County is divided by case level. Felony prosecutions ordinarily belong with the District Clerk. Misdemeanors generally go through the County Clerk, while fine-only matters may sit in a justice or municipal court. The sheriff’s FAQ lists four Justice of the Peace precincts and directs citation questions to the precinct printed on the citation. Use the charge and case number to choose the correct clerk instead of assuming the jail roster contains the final disposition.

A docket entry establishes court activity, not physical release. Obtain the relevant bond order, dismissal, judgment, sentence, jail-credit notation, commitment, probation order, revocation, or supervision-discharge order. Then reconcile that document with the sheriff’s recorded exit time. A dismissal does not by itself state when someone walked out, while an exit timestamp does not prove dismissal or acquittal.

Robertson Release Supervision Checks

Parole and probation follow different lines of authority. The Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles makes state parole and discretionary mandatory-supervision decisions. The TDCJ Parole Division prepares releases and supervises people after they leave state prison. A favorable vote is not a physical release: plans, required programs, certificates, and processing may still intervene. Review and Release Processing at 512-406-5202 is the state contact after favorable action.

Probation is called community supervision in Texas and is imposed by a court. Robertson County Adult Probation, at 109 W. Decherd Street in Franklin, confirms local court-ordered supervision with a case number. It is not a BPP office. The Bryan/College Station District Parole Office serves Robertson County state releasees, although the approved release location can change the actual office assignment. Public office details may be checked, but a person’s home, reporting schedule, or treatment conditions should remain private.

Robertson Release Alerts and Transfers

Texas county notification is changing during fiscal 2026. IVSS-Counties is the current county search and registration portal, with 24-hour help at 866-268-8959. It accepts full or partial names and identifiers such as DOC ID, SID, jail ID, or permanent booking number. A person no longer in custody may disappear from results, so a missing name is not release proof. Match an alert to the sheriff’s booking number, VINE ID, released card, and direct confirmation.

Robertson County still publishes a legacy Texas VINE route and its booking cards carry VINE IDs. Keep that older route distinct from the current IVSS interface. The legacy brochure’s telephone PIN instructions must not be assumed to describe the newer registration flow. TDCJ IVSS is another separate system for state inmates and people on parole or mandatory supervision. Alerts are timely aids, not certified records or emergency services.

Federal branches apply only when the case supplies a factual reason. The Bureau of Prisons locator covers federal imprisonment from 1982 onward and can show “Released” with a date. “Not in BOP custody” rules out only current BOP custody, not USMS, ICE, state, county, or supervision. USMS has no public county-style release feed, so federal pretrial movement is checked through the federal docket and relevant Marshals district.

ICE’s locator uses an A-number and country of birth or a biographical search. It may retain people released from ICE custody for about 60 days, but an ICE release can mean community placement, removal, or transfer. A blank result can reflect spelling, coverage, recent processing, or lag. Confirm uncertainty through the ICE information line at 888-351-4024 rather than inferring immigration status from personal traits.

Released or Held: Choose a System

Each official system proves only the custody slice it controls. Read a result together with its date, identifiers, and stated coverage.

SystemWho appearsWhat absence means
RCSO current rosterBookings displayed as currently confinedNot enough to prove release
RCSO 48-hour filterRecent departures from county custodyThe short web window may have expired
TDCJ online searchPeople currently incarcerated in TDCJCould reflect release, discharge, timing, or no TDCJ custody
IVSS-CountiesCovered county custody or supervision recordsFormerly held people may no longer appear
BOP locatorFederal prisoners and former prisoners in locator coverageDoes not rule out another authority
ICE ODLSCovered current and recent immigration detaineesNeeds agency confirmation

Charges on a booking card are allegations and do not establish guilt. Bond also needs context. The county profile can show a bond amount, type, and status, but it does not identify bond as the release reason. A nonzero amount does not prove payment, and zero does not prove dismissal or time served. Call detention staff for the correct case and bond details, then read the court order.

Robertson County Custody Routes

The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center is the primary county jail and the source of the local 48-hour release record. Hearne, Calvert, and Bremond police departments can serve as short-term arrest or processing points, but no separate public recent-release roster was verified for those agencies. Once a municipal arrest is booked into the county detention center, follow the sheriff’s record.

  • Robertson County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center: county bookings, community departures, and transfers.
  • Hearne Police Department holding function: follow the arrest to the receiving custodian.
  • Calvert Police Department holding function: verify whether the county jail received the booking.
  • Bremond Police Department holding function: no distinct released-person feed was found.
  • Texas Department of Criminal Justice facilities statewide: state incarceration, later parole, mandatory supervision, or discharge.
  • Federal Bureau of Prisons facilities nationwide: federal sentence records and release dates.
  • ICE detention network: immigration custody and recent covered departures.

No TDCJ prison, BOP prison, or ICE detention facility was verified inside Robertson County. The French M. Robertson Unit is near Abilene in Jones County and must not be confused with this county. Release logistics also require direct confirmation. RCSO publishes no fixed exit time, pickup door, family waiting point, property-return process, holiday procedure, gate payment, local sentence-credit rule, or bond schedule. Call 979-828-3299 before arranging pickup. Brazos Transit District demand-and-response service may be a planning option, but it is not a jail ride and requires separate eligibility, reservation, and pickup confirmation.
